The 2008/2009 Season marks the beginning of an exciting new offering for ARt as we launch our first ever speakers series. Plans are quickly beginning to solidify for what we hope will become a premiere cultural event for Spokane, and we are proud to partner with North By Northwest Productions in making this event possible. We are currently working to secure commitments from some of today's biggest names from film, television and the stage. We'd like to lauch this series with 5 one-night-only engagements.
The format will be similar to television's Inside the Actor's Studio. Celebrities will be interviewed about their lives, careers and experiences. We will also find a way for our loyal audiences to participate by submitting questions in advance. Then following the event we will host a private cocktail reception where people may meet the celebrity and possibly take photos (tickets limited).
We hope to soon be able to announce a pricing structure and begin subscription sales once we have secured at least a couple of our celebrities and have a better idea of needs and costs to host them here in our wonderful community. We are striving to keep the costs of this series low to make it affordable for as wide of audience as possible, and tickets to the cocktail reception would be in addition to the interview portion of the evening. And of course, subscribers to our regular theatrical season will have first shot at these tickets.
